Information production and consumption have drastically changed during the past decade. People around the world are simultaneously producers, transmitters, consumers, and actors of the information that shape their environment and their lives.
IREX’s new 2021 Vibrant Information Barometer (VIBE) offers a fresh way to measure and diagnose the challenges and opportunities of today’s complex information systems. Building off lessons learned from nearly two decades of producing the Media Sustainability Index, VIBE tracks how information is produced, spread, consumed, and used in 13 countries in Europe and Eurasia.
On Thursday, July 15, CIMA will host an engaging online discussion with the VIBE researchers and media and disinformation experts. What is the state of information environments in closed and closing spaces? How has the rise in disinformation affected the health of information systems? What are the notable trends in information production and consumption and how does this affect international media development?
To RSVP and receive call in details, please register by Wednesday, July 14.
