In a world of arbitrary comstockery and reckless business profiteering a true deontological self regulation is a doubtful one. The moral boundaries often redrawn for the advantage of power hungry politicians as well as money mongers. In such situation a regulatory mechanism in international perspective with strong will and power to make an ethical and economic surveillance is essential. Unless there is a global consensus on moral standards here onwards media regulation may be impossible and if the media goes unbridled the society may have to face a cultural catastrophy. I hope a body like UNESCO may take a true leadership to solve the issues.
