CIMA is pleased to release a special report on its event, co-hosted with Internews Network, on The Legal Enabling Environment for Independent Media in Egypt and Tunisia, by Cathie Glover, project coordinator at CIMA. The roundtable discussion, held on September 1, 2011, brought together more than 70 legal experts, journalists, media development specialists, and representatives from international organizations to discuss the current regulatory environment and the windows of opportunity for democratic reform in the media sector in Egypt and Tunisia.
